After answering a few basic questions, Mr. Sama got up and left. Nigel watched after him while the others started discussing options. After a few minutes, Michelle suggested that they go out into the club, and she, Giggy, and Jack got up and walked out. Bob (or Tim) stayed watching Nigel.

After a minute or so, Bob (or Tim) started looking around for any surveillance equipment, and, as he looked under the table, Nigel got up and walked to the back wall of the room.

Bob (or Tim) watched from his chair at the end of the table as Nigel first stuck a hand, then his head through the wall. Then Nigel stepped through ad disappeared from Bob (or Tim)'s view.

Behind the illusory wall, Nigel could see that there were two doors on either side of a fire place. he sat down on the floor, and then projected. First through the door on the left, which appeared to lead to an empty corridor, then through the door on the right, which led to a sitting room, with a person sitting in a chair doing something.

Nigel returned to his body and then walked through the door on the left.

Inside, Mr. Sama was sitting in an upholstered chair next to an old oak table, talking on the phone. The room appeared to be a private library, with books and art on the walls and a couple of comfortable-looking chairs next to individual tables and lamps.

Mr. Sama raised his eyebrows slightly when Nigel walked in, but continued his conversation in unbroken tones. As Nigel did not speak Japanese, he had no idea what Mr. Sama was saying. However, after a few minutes, Mr. Sama hung up and looked to Nigel.

"Nigel-san," Mr. Sama started, "how can I help you?"

"I have some stuff," Nigel replied, "and I was hoping you could help me identify it, or maybe sell it."

"Really? What kind of stuff?"

"Magic stuff."

"How do you know it is magical?"

"I can see it," Nigel explained, pointing to his eyes.

"Ok, then why me?"

"Well, mostly I'm just not sure how else to deal with it."

"Very well. In that case, you can bring it to me, and I can have someone look at it.

"Will there be anything else?"

"Um," Nigel replied, "no, that's it."

"All right. Keep in mind that it would be in your best interest not to be here again unless invited."

"Ok, thanks," Nigel said, leaving the room.

When he came back through the illusory wall, Bob (or Tim) was gone. Nigel walked out and back into the club, where he found the rest of the group sitting around a table in a corner booth. Bob (or Tim) was doing a very good job of managing to not look at Jack.

"Where have you been?" Giggy asked Nigel.

"I just say Sama."

Giggy looked at Nigel, then punched him in the face.

"What was that for?" Nigel asked.

"Nigel," Michelle said calmly, "for that, I may have to remove my allegiance to you."

"What?" Nigel asked again.

"That really isn't appropriate. You don't go find Sama, you ask for him, or call him, and if he wants to meet you, he will invite you."

"Look," Nigel said, "at least I didn't mug him."

Giggy punched him again.

"Look, let's just get past this and get on with our job," Bob (or Tim) suggested. "You already galled your other guy to get a truck, so we can get together tomorrow and scope the place out."

The next morning, Michelle picked up Giggy and Rainbow in her purple Eurocar. Rainbow's new van wasn't ready yet. With Bob (or Tim) following on his motorcycle, they headed north to Port Macquairie to check out the roads and the docks. On the way, Rainbow called an acquaintance of his, Lil'D, who may be able to make up for the lack of van.

Rainbow handed the phone to Giggy to explain what they were looking for, and they made arrangements to meet that night in Sydney at Samoan Joe's.

Michelle and Bob (or Tim) drove around Port Macquairie for a while, comparing notes on possible routes and ambush locations, and getting suggestions from Rainbow on higher or lower risk options, then they headed back to Sydney to meet up with Jack, Nigel, and Lil'D at Samoan Joe's for greasy bar food and drinks.

And now what...
