The Cock and Ball Story - Part 1 (of 2)
Michelle got a call from Ms. Kyle, her professor contact at one of the local universities.
The previous weekend, they had had a football (that's soccer for all you Americans) match against their rival school from Canberra. Before the game, some people from the rival has stolen the Gate, a historic monument on the Sydney campus, and put it on the Sydney Harbor Bridge.
Ms. Kyle indicated that it may be nice if they could retaliate in kind.
Michelle called Giggy and Nigel, and eventually they all got together to make plans. They decided that since the next football match was a week from next Friday, that they had a week and a half, but they should do something in time for the next big game.
Nigel suggested moving the football pitch, but this was quickly shot down due to both expense and the time it would take to get it done, and the risk of being stopped or having things called off due to the mess that was made.
Then they started, at Atilius' suggestion, discussing flooding the football pitch in raw sewage. However, the practicality of getting this accomplished overcame then and they pushed this idea aside.
Then they hit on the idea of, pardon the pun, erecting a huge phallus in the middle of the football pitch. This was eventually struck down as too likely to just stop the game.
Meanwhile, Giggy and Michelle had been looking into more information on the Canberra campus. Their research had uncovered two landmarks that may be comparable to the Gate on the Sydney campus: a statue of the Bull, the school team mascot, and the Canberra Clock Tower, a two story tower on the corner of the main administrative building on campus.
Conversation drifted to various things they could do to the bull, but nothing really seemed like a good idea.
Then Nigel and Atilus hit on the idea of a cock tower - making the clock tower a giant penis.
They decided to go with this, using spray foam insulation to deface the monument. They would fill the tower with insulation, and then cover it with more, and Nigel would instruct an elemental to form the foam as it was applied.
Michelle looked into renting application systems in Canberra, while Giggy and Rainbow started tracking down the massive amounts of insulation they would need. The product was all purchased under assumed names in smaller amounts in various places in Sydney. Nigel tracked down tarps and scaffolding.
Michelle and Rainbow figured that the best way to get in was to come in as exterminators, which meant getting in ahead of time to demonstrate the pests in the building that were the threat, so they could close down the building for a day and work undisturbed.
Will it work? Find out next time...
