Mr. Lawson gladly and promptly paid our team for collecting Dr. Smith for him. For some reason, this seems to have surprised our group, or at least Giggy... I'm actually not sure why. However, before they had left after being paid, Mr. Lawson asked them to collect a package from a truck traveling from Adelaide to Sydney. Of course, our team gladly accepted and started heading west again... They soon spotted the truck in question and its single car escort, and Quicksilver took out the escort with a well placed assault cannon round. Unfrotunately, Quicksilver did not realize that our beloved Raven was up next to the escort vehicle in question, and when it swerved, the armored SUV nearly took out Raven and his bike (the kid just has bad luck with motorcycles near anything potentially explosive...).
However, Raven did get by the escort vehicle (which, by the way, was not manufactured by the Ford Motor Company), and get stopped in from of them.
Meanwhile, Giggy slid up behind the truck and jumped onto the trailer, and began shooting off the lock on the trailer doors. Raven was carefully taking aim at the truck driver, adn paying little enough attention to the presumably disabled escort vehicle to give the escort an opportunity to attempt to saw him in half with the proverbial 'lead hose.' Buckwheat had managed to conjure a spirit to slow the truck to keep it from getting away too fast, while Giggy was climbing on it.
After Raven's loud objections over the radio about Quicksilver's inability to successfully disable an escort like he was supposed to, Quicksilver took his attention off of trying to separate the truck from its trailer, and gave the escort vehicle another shot for good measure. Unfortunately, this time the vehicle critically failed its BOD roll, and, well, that was that.
Raven then found himself with a clear shot at the truck driver, which he took post haste, killing the driver. Without a driver, and with a spirit hindering it, the autopilot in the truck took over and stopped the vehicle.
Our group then collected the crate they needed, and instructed the autopilot in the truck to drive to the next rest area and wait there for further instructions. Delivering the package to Dr. Smith in Raymond Terrace was pretty uneventful, except for Giggy shooting at a couple of kids hiding in the bushes in the dark playing 'Shadow Runners...' At least he used gel rounds. :)
