February 10th, 2005, 6:15pm - 11:15pm
217 W. Koch St.
Bozeman, MT 59715
The building is on the corner of Koch and Third. The apartment is at the top of the stairs.
This week started out with a little blue-booking. After that was taken care of, Giggy received a call from Mr. Sama's secretary requesting that he and Buckwheat join him for dinner that Friday evening.
Over dinner Mr. Sama told them of Raven's death, and offered them a job in Tokyo - transportation and lodging taken care of for six days. Buckwheat and Giggy took the offer, agreeing to meet Mr. Yakolo in Tokyo for further details.
The next day, Giggy received a call from Michelle White, who introduced herself as Raven's former girlfriend. She spoke to Giggy about wanting to try to find a way to get back at the people who she blamed for Raven's death. After a bit of discussion, Giggy ecided to take her allong with them and worked out an extra ticket to Tokyo with Mr. Sama's people.
They arrived in Tokyo with little incident, having each left their weapons behind in Sydney rather than trying to smuggle them onto a commercial suborbital.
Once in Tokyo, they got a cab and got to their hotel, where there was a hand written note waiting at the front desk for Buckwheat...
After unsuccessfully fighting with the Japanese-English dictionary available at the hotel giftshop, they finally got the concierge to tell them that it said that was just letting them know the Mr. Yakolo would be sending a car at 4:00pm.
The car picked them up promptly and took them to an older office tower in the downtown area, where they were escorted to an office on an upper floor. There they met Mr. Yakolo.
Mr. Yakolo informed them that he needed someone to destroy some biological samples being held in a lab, which was also in downtown Tokyo, and that he needed someone from out of town to handle this, which is why he had asked Mr. Sama to send someone capable.
When Giggy, Buckwheat, and Michelle agreed that this was reasonable, Mr. Yakolo continued that the that the lab ws on the 73rd floor of a 120 story tower, and that he needed the samples desctroyed, and did not care about any collateral damage to the lab, but that significant damage to the rest of the building, or unnecessaryt loss of life would be a disapointment.
When they agreed to take the job, Mr. Yakolo informed them that the building was patrolled by Knight Errant, but that the specific lab they were hitting was extra-territorial, so Knight Errant woudl not be able to enter the lab without a specific call from the lab itself or its owners.
The next day, Buckwheat located the building and made an astral pass, noting that there was something distrubing about the lab from astral space, but not something he could really pin-point. However, he did not encounter any active magical resistance.
While Buckwheat was taking care of this, Giggy and Michelle discussed options for gaining access and egress from the lab, as well as options for providing confirmation of the destruction of the biological samples.
and... on to next time...
