Table top role playing is the traditional form of role playing, where a group of people gather around a table (or other setting) with their books, dice, and character sheets and discuss what their characters will do in a series of made-up situations, as well as how their characters will react to the other characters adn the world around them. In most table top games and systems, there is a judge, often called a Game Master, who creates the scenes, arbitrates any disputes, determines the actions of the people or creatures in the area (other than the player characters), and determines the outcome of the individual characters actions.
